Acute vomiting in the last 4 days
RESULTS
Ill-defined rounded soft tissue opacity in the projection area of the pylorus.
The stomach is moderately fluid and gas-filled (unusual finding, considering many episodes of vomiting).
There is a single population of small bowel loops, normally distended.
Radiographic diagnosis suggestive of mechanical gastro-duodenal obstruction.
DIAGNOSIS
Ultrasound of the abdomen confirms the gastro-intestinal obstruction due to a pylorogastric intussusception.
